This section aims to illustrate and explain the process of creating and selling a television drama. I’ll be looking at the process in a number of ways, beginning with Pitch to Production, a step-by-step reconstruction of a screenplay’s lifespan, including every premise, research document, storyline and draft along the way.
In future I plan to add, among other things, discussion about the mechanics of character and plot development on the page, and about writers’ interactions with editors, producers, directors and other professionals intrinsic to screen production.
